The construction web cam is no longer operating, since the height of the building now blocks the view of much of the ongoing construction.

Latest Update:

September 28, 2017 - Work on the new Half Moon Bay Library is progressing very, well, and we are on schedule for a mid-2018 opening. During last summer, the building really began taking shape -  workers put in the concrete walls, installed the water and sewer services and storm drain system, put up the structural steel posts and beams, poured lots and lots of concrete slab on the first and second floors, and completed much of the wall framing, including in the community room which also got its roof. Now through the end of the year, we will see installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and facilities, the stairs, door frames, and window systems will be put in, and exterior stone veneer and interior finishes will take shape.

Construction of the new library began on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. The new library is anticipated to be completed in summer of 2018. During construction, library services are provided at a temporary location at Shoreline Station - 225 S. Cabrillo Highway, Suite 104B, Half Moon Bay, which is open seven days a week:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 10 am - 8 pm
  • Thursday: 1 - 8 pm
  • Friday: 10 am - 6 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm
  • Sun: 1 - 5 pm
