New Survey and "Pop-Up Neighborhood Meeting" on Frenchmans Creek Park Improvements
Half Moon Bay, CA - The City of Half Moon Bay will be replacing the play structure and considering other future improvements at Frenchmans Creek Park, and is asking families and neighbors to continue the discussion about the upgrades they'd like to see at that park. Based on the results of a survey earlier this year and other input received, the City has a new, follow-up survey and has scheduled a community meeting to help further define the community's desired improvements at the park.
The City is grateful to the many people who have provided their input and ideas so far - now, the community is invited to fill out survey #2 online at www.hmbcity.com/frenchmanscreek. People are also invited to attend a special "Pop-Up" Neighborhood Meeting at Frenchmans Creek Park, where they can see displays of potential design ideas, talk to City staff, get questions answered, and offer their preferences and input.
Survey #1 was distributed last March, and among other information respondents indicated:
There was also interest indicated in potential future additional recreation and leisure equipment (such as space for basketball, bocce ball, additional picnic tables, or other elements), and in a possible small area for dogs. The follow-up survey includes questions around these ideas.
Everyone is invited to participate in determining the types of improvements for Frenchmans Creek Park - community members are encouraged to fill out the survey and plan on attending the Pop-Up Neighborhood Meeting on May 23.
